Sigh...

Another year older ..but none the wiser. Sad..

 

This year’s birthday was good though. Celebrated in good old Disneyland. HK Disneyland that is. Yep was trying to get back to my childhood days.. Mickey and Minnie spoke in Cantonese. THAT was majorly weird.

 

That night, we had dinner at Hutong. The view & atmosphere etc was excellent!! THE longest dinner I ever had. Was there from 7.30 to 11+, after which we went on to aqua, a sister club/ restaurant on the top floor. That was where a middle-age-suit-wearing-half-drunk-ang-moh tried buying us a drink… OF COURSE we DIDN”T accept it…. =D

 

All in all the trip was an excellent one with me burning a massive hole in my pocket…what with 6pairs of shoes, 2 bags, 3 pairs of bottoms, 1 dress, 7 tops…..

Another Milestone..

Gonna reach another milestone.... sigh... Feeling the blues somehow.

 

Probably why I'm packing up my bags and heading off to the "sunny" polluted Hong Kong for a bit of R&R and retail therapy.

 

Guess where I'll be celebrating my B'day at..??!!! kekekeee.....  Disneyland =D

 

I'm digressing... (is that how you spell the word... hmmm..) hahaa...Think while I'm at it, must as well do a Mac Donald party too... hahaa.... Can't wait for the trip.... tomorrows just don't come fast enough.

Yes I know... it's been ages since I last published my last entry... Was caught up with doing things ie work, travelling etc etc. will do a proper update soon. Maybe after mybday... yep... hitting another milestone. sigh....

Basic Theory Test and .... CAB!!!

Well... Am in Singapore this week.. well at least till Wed.

My trip down was also to take my Basic Theory Test (Driving) so I can
convert my "foreign" license to a Singapore one. The test was pre-booked
in December... (yep, they have a freakin long waiting list, and this was
the earliest date I could get)

So I studied like crazy on Sunday and Monday Morning for the test....
Caught a cab to ComfortDelGo. (Bloody freakin expensive!!! SGD11!!!! and
it's only 1 @#$%ing way!!!) 10.15am, queueing up to get id checked...
10.20am, my turn.....

Invigilator couldn't find my test id slip. I panicked. Did they screw
up?!!!! Then I shoved the payment slip at the invigilator to proof my
right to be in the exam. On inspection...

Invigilator: "Your test is for the 26th of Feb, today's the 25th......"
Me: "Crap!"

Yep.... I got the dates mixed up... was so pissed!! Well, actually was
more pissed at the fact that I had to spend another SGD11 to go the next
day... not to mention another SGD10 to get home.

I swear, this whole trip to singapore (all of 3 days) The cab fare cost
more than what I spent of food!! ISn't it ridiculous?!!!

all in, i spent SGD 74 just for 2 days!!!! I tell you, it's really
ridiculous the cab fares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so taking the bus or mrt from now on!!!!!
Boycotting taxis, unless I really have to!!!!

AND to top it off, although I passed the exams today, I need to make
another trip back to Comfort (another SGD 21) when I've gotten all my
proper documents.... How am I to know they needed the old passport??!!!!

Actually I'm still ok about going to Comfort. It's the freakin Cab fare
which I'm pissed about..... It used to be 1/2 the price catching cabs...!!

Reckon not many people take the cabs now due to the high fares..No wonder
cabs stop at my aptmt's main entrance even when I'm still walking from the
guardhouse.

It feels like everything keeps piling up and there’s no end in sight.

 

Even my KFC is sitting half eaten on the table…

She's about 5 months old... a bit scrawny... but is still growing... so she won't stay that size for long =D

Pffftttt......Toilet Air Freshener....

There’s a toilet freshener in the office toilet… you know one of those rectangular boxes stuck high on the wall where it automatically sprays out the freshener….

 

I swear, everytime I step out of the toilet that thing squirts out the freshener…. Is it trying to give me a hint or something??!!!

6 ft under...

Yes… under a pile of work….. feel like a sinking ship.

 

Take today for instance. I haven’t had time to do the work I was supposed to do from last week. Just as I stepped into the office, new and urgent things keep piling up. On top of that, there was a brief impromptu meeting. Arrghh…!!!!

 

Who said working in commercial is easier??!!!! I think I had it easier back in KP. The learning curve here is so steep it feels like it’s forming a backwards C. Brain’s getting fried… Think I’m going to go…. Heck it with work!!! Arrgghh!!!!!
